Starting a no-cost (or low-cost) consulting business

in

Friday, May 8, 7pm to 8pm, Carrboro Creative Coworking

If you have technical skills to offer and you have considered starting a business but didn't know how to go about it, this session is for you. After a short presentation on the basics, professionals from the nationally respected nonprofit SCORE will facilitate a discussion and answer your questions. Continuing help for your new business is available free from SCORE at locations around the area, too. Join us to get your business started on a shoestring and network with people who can join forces with you for larger projects than you can handle alone.

The audience for this presentation would be people with technical skills such as computer programming, graphic arts, technical writing, and so on. These people could begin consulting businesses immediately with low risk and low initial investment.

Registration limited to 15. Please use the form bellow or this page to register. I'm sorry. This class has reached it's registration limit.

Game Night Meetup at CCC

in

Tuesday, February 10 we're playing board games like Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Taboo, Cranium, and Risk. Join us! Here's the low down.

Grab your favorite board game and join us for the first Game Night Meetup!

This is a meetup for the entire Triangle area, so everyone is welcome. You're encouraged to bring friends who enjoy a fun night playing games and meeting new people.

The first Game Night Meetup will be held on Tuesday, February 10 at the Carrboro Creative Coworking space at 205 Lloyd Street, Carrboro, NC 27510.

THE SCHEDULE:
6:00 – Socializing & Snacking
7:00 – Introduction and game selection
7:10 – Let the games begin!

THE FORMAT
The space will be divided into five group areas where we'll have the following games set up:

1. Monopoly
2. Settlers of Catan
3. Taboo
4. Cranium
5. Risk

Have a favorite board game you want to play? Bring it with you (even if it's one of the ones we're providing). The game stations will change depending on the games people bring and what people want to play. Some games are faster than others, so throughout the night you're welcome to move from game to game.

Game Night Meetup is all about having fun and socializing, so you're encouraged to try games you've never played. No experience necessary.

You can RSVP on if you like. Thanks to Jeff Brenman for organizing this event.
