New Coworker Pricing
Posted July 23rd, 2009 by brianHowdy Coworkers! I'd like to introduce you to our new Coworker pricing levels. Some you're familiar with. A few are brand new. You can now pay for all four Coworker options with PayPal at https://carrborocoworking.com/pricing.
One Day - $10 a day
This service is for folks who would like to Cowork ad hoc. If you'd just like to drop in and work when YOU want to use this option. Just click the PayPal buy button and get to work.
Friend of CCC - $50 a month
This option is for folks who may not use our services often but would like to support CCC. We're developing special gifts and events just for official Friends of Carrboro Creative Coworking.
Coworker - $100 a month
This is the classic Coworker option. Drop in any time you want during business hours and get to work. Hot coffee, plenty of electrical outlets, comfortable seating, professional atmosphere, and open wireless.
Super Coworker - $200 a month
This option has the same features as the Coworker but with 24/7 access. If you use monthly reoccurring billing with a credit card or check (ACH) you get a electronic key fob. Let yourself in late at night or on weekends.
(Conference rooms prices remain the same and Offices are still done separately. Check out the new Office page and Conference Room page with pictures!)
Right now we have seventeen regular Coworkers. On average eight Coworkers are here during the day. Plus there are always Office Coworkers in the space. Its getting busy... but we need to do more to energize the community and help it stay open. Please tell someone about CCC!
Window Offices Available
Posted May 21st, 2009 by brianJune first TWO window offices will be available at Carrboro Creative Coworking. Both come with basic furnishings like chairs and desks. We have WiFi, coffee, a technical book library, and a community of brilliant people.
Recently several new office coworkers moved in. One is a real estate software company and another is a senior editor for a big technical magazine. Plus there are a ton of software developers making cool stuff like iPhone applications.
Please contact me if you have any questions. I'd really appreciate it if you'd share this info with friends. :)
Twelve Steps for Mighty Business
Posted May 6th, 2009 by brianSmall business really should be called Mighty Business. That's what Greg Hyer () and Helen Yoest () think. They just wrote out some steps for mighty business using Twitter. Check out Greg's blog post 12 Step Programs for Small Business Can Develop on Twitter! for the story. (I just reformatted it here for you're reading enjoyment.)
12 step program for Mighty Business
- Project the Power of One! Don't worry about pretending to be big, you are big!
- Realize that your customers will play "follow the leader" if you can get them to want to follow.
- Always say "We" even if you are a company of one.
- Believe of Spiritual Capitalism. Integrity & commitment are as important as profit & efficiency. http://bit.ly/QiwX4
- Don't promise something you can't deliver.
- If you do not enjoy what you do, re-evaluate your business and get back to basics. Try to find the love!
- charge a fee that the market bares, not proportional to size of your biz
- Never be too proud to ask for help if you feel you need it.
- Align yourself with others to complement what you do. Be ready to recommend someone when a client asks.
- Family comes first. You need to support them as much as you need their support.
- Brand yourself. Coke can do it, so can you.
- Become your customer's biggest asset. You should improve their business or life & in return it will improve yours.
Basic Mail Service
Posted April 2nd, 2009 by brianUntil we have Star Trek transporters physical mail is needed. Most new businesses require a physical mailing address to function.
Understandably some people don't want to use their home mailing address. Either because of privacy concerns, inconvenience, or the desire to establish a professional appearance. CCC can help you with our new Basic Mail Service.
Basic Mail Service is your own physical mailing address here at CCC. Its sending and receiving mail from the United States Postal Service. We provide a street address not a P.O. Box. (Some companies won't deliver to a P.O. box.)
The cost is $12 a month for Full Time or Office Coworkers and $15 a month for Part Time and Daily Coworkers. If you are a Office Coworker we'll even put your mail in your office. Both of these services require reoccurring billing and a six month commitment. To do this we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and electronic debit from checking accounts.
If you have any questions about this new service please contact me. Keep an eye out for other services we'll be offering in the future.
All You Can Use Part Time Coworker
Posted February 24th, 2009 by brianNow there are no more day limits on the Part Time Coworker! For the same price of $100 a month you can use the service all you want during regular business hours. (Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm) This service requires reoccurring billing.
Previously the Part Time Coworker pass had only ten days per $100, aka $10 a day, and the days had to be used within three months. Several people's Part Time days expired before they got a chance to use them. So I came up with this new model.
For less than four dollars a day you get:
- Fast WiFi
- Free Coffee
- Free Events
- Electricity (duh)
- Comfortable and Professional Environment
- Awesome Geek Community
- Free Parking in Downtown Carrboro
Part Time Coworker, $100 per Month
Plus the regular Coworker rate is now $10 a day instead of $30. If you were using the Part Time Coworker, and enjoyed the number of days spread out, now you can purchase them ad hoc. Basically its the old Part Time Coworker.
Also the Office Coworker has no day limits. Four person teams can now save money, and receive more services, by purchasing together. For $300 a month you get four Part Time Coworkers and three hours a month in Conference Room B. This deal requires reoccurring billing.
I want you to work at CCC often. Stop counting the days you have left and get more for your money!
Become the CCC Resident Team
Posted February 16th, 2009 by brianSave money and be more productive in this economy by sharing expenses with others. If you're a small web development company, two to ten people, and are looking for ways to save consider becoming the Carrboro Creative Coworking Resident Team.
Move your team to CCC and see a savings on rent and utilities. Stop worrying about high electric and Internet bills. We'll take care of it and keep the resources flowing. Save your money and time by drinking our free coffee. We have the amenities of big offices like quality conference rooms, free parking, mailboxes, a Nintendo Wii, and VOIP telephone service. (You know gaming is important.)
Plus the Town of Carrboro has great restaurants, bars, and clubs within walking distance of our office. Weaver Street Market is a great example with its good food, outdoor seating, and free WiFi.
Our spaces has a strong meetup schedule with free events every week. People get together here to discuss iphone/Cocoa development, Ruby on Rails, Erlang, and more. Smart and creative techies come from all over the triangle. If you work here they'll be coming to you.
Please contact me if you're interested. Find more about our other services, such as the Part Time Coworker, here.
