Carrboro Creative Coworking

There's a good story in The Herald Sun newspaper today by Sarah Scott called Carrboro Creative Coworking fills niche (registration required). This article does a good job of describing our community atmosphere and what we offer. It has wonderful quotes from two CCC coworkers Sean Cribbs and Kathleen Kearns.

We have space for you! Even though we are doing well and lots of people are working here there is room for you. If not today tomorrow. Right now we have a Full Time Desk and many Part Time seats available. In the future even more opportunities will open up. So keep an eye on the right column block called Space Availability for the latest info. :)

The very energetic and talented Wayne Sutton came over the other day to interview me about CCC. As always it was fun to talk with Wayne and show off the brand new space. I hope he comes back and does another video when we have more art on the walls and people working. Yesterday was busy!

The Carrboro Citizen, our local town newspaper, has published the article Creative Coworking offers a new dynamic. I wrote about it earlier when it first appeared in the student online mag The Carrboro Commons. I really like this article. So its nice to see this in print form reaching a bigger and different audience.

Another good article is out that covers some more of the philosophy of CCC and local economics. The best writing about this new business so far has been from students. I'm impressed. This one is by Caroline McMillan at the Carrboro Commons, a project of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Its called Creative Coworking offers a new dynamic.

Marc Dewalle from the NC Startup Blog interviewed me via email about CCC. Its awesome that folks are blogging about startups here. I'm excited that there are so many smart young folks building things in the Triangle. UNC student run newspaper The Daily Tar Heel has another article about CCC in todays edition. They were one of the first to report on my idea last September. Its great that they followed up to help document the progress. Go check out the story, Carrboro’s common workspace set to go by Jeff Woodall.

Today Bora and I were interviewed by the very kind Lauren Hills from NBC 17. Just finished watching it and enjoyed. I'll get a link to the online video as soon as I find it. Probably tomorrow. Here's a link to the video on carrboro.MyNC.com. WOOT!
