New Story about CCC in the Hearld

in

There's a good story in The Herald Sun newspaper today by Sarah Scott called Carrboro Creative Coworking fills niche (registration required). This article does a good job of describing our community atmosphere and what we offer. It has wonderful quotes from two CCC coworkers Sean Cribbs and Kathleen Kearns.

We have space for you! Even though we are doing well and lots of people are working here there is room for you. If not today tomorrow. Right now we have a Full Time Desk and many Part Time seats available. In the future even more opportunities will open up. So keep an eye on the right column block called Space Availability for the latest info. :)

Work with us - Space is Available

There are a lot of people working here doing a variety of things. We have a consistent group of writers, software engineers, web developers, a documentary film maker, a cable network TV reporter, and many others. But because of the flexibility built into the Part Time Coworker and Full Time Coworker packages space becomes available occasionally. If you look on the right column of this site you'll see the box titled Space Availability. This is where you'll find the most up-to-date information about opportunities to work with us here at CCC.

Right now there is a Full Time Coworker desk available. Details about this option is on our pricing page. Plus we have several seats open for Part Time Coworkers. Right now a organic group of PT coworkers appear often on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the group room aka Conference Room A. They often go out to lunch together and talk about the projects they're working on. A great way to find collaborators and learn about new tech.

The Part Time Coworker is super cheap. Just $90 for ten days. That's $9 a day for reliable & fast WiFi, plenty of electrical outlets, free coffee, a professional atmosphere, and valuable networking. Drop in and try it out for free!

Six Reasons to Start Coworking

Alex Hillman of Independents Hall, a coworking space in Philly, has a post up at Mashable called 6 Reasons to Start Coworking. Here's the list to entice you.

1) You're Lonely
2) You Need Motivation
3) You Love to Learn New Things
4) You have no idea what’s going on in your region
5) Your work/life balance is out of whack
6) Sharing of resources is RAD

You should really read the explanations for each of these. There is so much wisdom within. Much of this is why I opened CCC.

Working hard to release Unblab

When I come in early weekday mornings and on weekends Anthony and Eli are always here. They're pulling all nighters coding to get Unblab ready. Its a web based email client that "was created with the hope that you will use it as little as possible". The goal is to help you slog through all your email in a more efficient and enjoyable way. The really cool thing is that it works with your existing email accounts.

You can sign up for free account now. I did the other day and am really looking forward to trying it out. Go on over to their well designed site and learn more with the overview.

Creating an environment for the creation of software products is one of the reasons I started CCC. I'm really jazzed watching stuff grow!
